Mark Tucker : Journal

Mothers/Children #1

Posted in Mothers and Children by marktucker on November 20, 2012

Today, we start a new series of portraits. We shot a good bit in short amount of time, and this is just a teaser image — part of a larger whole, to come later. This is Iris Baker and her 10-year old daughter Kylie, and then Iris’ mother Loekie, who is visiting from The Netherlands. Iris is a producer for video and commercials, here in Nashville, and Kylie attends University School, and is an aspiring screenwriter.

These images are 8″x10″ collodion on black aluminum.

Three generations of strong women. (Click to enlarge).

    beautiful
have you considered giving a workshop of your own?
this is what kind of camera with what kind of lens? what iso do you base your collodion shots on? this is hand coated on aluminum then slipped in the back of an 8×10 camera?

whatever the techtalk, love these, and love that you are continuing to explore.
