“Four plates; three pairs shoes; two pots” – NYT article

Loved this article last week in the Times, about a couple that rearranged and simplified their life. Today, I walked past this line of shoes, in my bedroom, and felt guilty. But I could make a practical case for (almost) every pair. But for the record, I do own only four plates, so maybe there’s hope for me.

Every shoe I own.

    I read that article too, and I may be reading too much into it but I sort of thought it was about being intentional about what you own, and not owning stuff for stuff’s sake. So the fact that you have a purpose here probably means you’re ok. :)

    I’ve been reading the Rowdy Kittens blog for a while – and intentionality is a big part of it. Also, she lives in a reasonably temperate climate and works from home. Those of us who need to be prepared for temps from 5F to 101F and who prefer to let shoes air out between wearings may end up with at least four…
